All Yukiguni Maitake mushrooms are grown organically using pure subterranean water; no agricultural chemicals and chemical fertilizers are used. To ensure greater peace of mind and safety for our customers, we have established quality standards that exceed every recognized standard in the industry today. These stringent quality-control standards are enforced through extensive tests to detect the presence of any undesirable elements; periodic hygiene and product tests are also conducted. As the market leader, we are committed to fulfilling our social obligations through policies that address vital environmental concerns while also advancing our focus on improved safety, health, and peace for our customers.

Product Tests
Our product tests are used to access the size and appearance of our maitake mushrooms. We use a metal detector to detect any foriegn substances present in harvested mushrooms.
Heavy Metal/Residual Chemical Tests
Tests are conducted to ensure that our water, our sawdust, and all our mushroom products are free of these potentially dangerous compounds.
Hygiene Testing
Periodic testing is performed for microbes such as coliform bacteria, colibacillus, and salmonella. Additional tests for mold, yeast mycelium, O-157, and other microbes are also performed.
