Yukiguni Maitake, Inc. was
founded in Niigata prefecture. Commercial production and sale
of maitake mushrooms began upon startup of the Ikazawa Plant,
having a capacity of 350 kg per day.
August 1984
Production capacity of the I kazawa Plant
was increased to 700 kg per day.

1985
Capacity of the Ikazawa
Plant was further expanded to 1.4 tons per day.
June 1986
Head Office was moved to a newly constructed
building located at 89 Yokawa, Muika-machi, Minami-Uonuma-
gun, Niigata-ken.

1986
The Yamato Plant having a
capacity of 3 tons per day was constructed at Mizuo-Shinden,
Yamato-machi, Minami-Uonuma-gun.
March 1987
Tokyo Sales Office was opened at
Matsugaya, Taito-ku, Tokyo.

1987
Hidaka Distribution Center
was established in Hidaka- shi, Saitama-ken.
October 1987
Capacity of the Yamato Plant was increased
to 6 tons per day.
January
1988
A new plant for production
of natto (fermented beans) was built at a site adjacent to the
Head Office. Production and sale of natto started.
October 1988
Capacity of the Yamato Plant was further
increased to 9 tons per day.
June
1989
Tokyo Sales Office was
moved to Nishi-Shinjuku, Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo.
September 1989
The Urasa Plant having a capacity of 12 tons
per day was constructed at Urasa, Yamato-machi, Minami- Uonuma-gun.
April
1990
A moyashi (bean sprout)
business was acquired from Ohdaira Moyashi Stores. Production
and sale of moyashi started.
September 1990
Capacity of the Urasa Plant was increased to
22 tons per day.
April
1991
Par value of the stock was
changed from 50,000 yen to 500 yen per share. The company
merged with Yukiguni Maitake located at 2-9-1 Higashi-Kanda,
Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo.
April 1992
Osaka Sales Office was opened in
Higashi-Yodogawa- ku, Osaka-shi.
August
1992
A new head office building
and plant were built at a site adjacent to the existing Head
Office. The Head Office and the Head Office Plant were moved
to the new site.
August 1993
The company made a stock split of one ¥500
par value per share into ten ¥50 par value per share.
September
1993
Capacity of the Yamato
Plant was further increased to 33 tons per day.
March 1994
Our stocks were listed on the Niigata Stock
Exchange, Local Industry Promotion Section.

1994
The Muika-machi Plant
having a capacity of 55 tons per day was constructed at
Niibori-Shinden, Muika-machi, Minami-Uonuma-gun.
September 1995
The Gosen Plant was built at
Gouyahara, Nakagawashin, Gosen-shi.

Capacity of the
Muika-machi Plant was increased to 77 tons per day.

Processed Food Business Office was opened at
Tsukiji, Chuo-ku, Tokyo.

In-house production of
boiled maitake mushrooms (maitake mizuni) started.

Moyashi manufacturing
operation was transferred to a newly formed subsidiary called
"General Biofoods, lId.".

new product called "MD Fraction" (a health food made
by condensation of maitake extract) started.
