RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT Working with leading universities, our research has given us an even greater insight into the subject of mushrooms and their infinite possibilities. The cornerstone of our policy is the development of research that will allow us to produce the largest harvests with the highest quality. To achieve this high quality we use a system of strictly controlled environmental management systems which lowers moisture content, enabling us to cultivate mushrooms that are long lasting. The strengthening of special ingredients and improved yields allows us to achieve various results through development. By creating a new research development center we have strengthened our ability to develop numerous mushroom products.
Thorough research into the “unique possibilities” of the mushroom In pursuit of medical effects Research into the medicinal effects that mushrooms possess is being carried out in a very positive fashion in research centers & universities throughout the world, including the United States. Starting with the effects of anticarcinogens, combating debilitating illnesses and controlling influenza, we are achieving encouraging results through our research. Based on these results, we have developed various health food products that are readily available in the marketplace. Applying the functions of the mushroom to the utmost limits. At Yukiguni we take great care to ensure that no wastes are created through our cultivation process. We are continuing our research to be able to utilize the various spent sawdust mediums that can be created during the cultivation of mushrooms. We discovered that spent sawdust mediums were a result of one of our basic timber resources, called woody biomass. The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry & Fisheries created a project to research Biomass Energy. From that research came “Ethanol Conversion Technology Research”. We are continuing this research regarding Ethanol from spent sawdust mediums that are created by the cultivation of the Maitake mushroom. We are actively involved in various research (for example, Bioremediation) for the application of the degradative ability of mushrooms with enzymes that degrade xenobiotic environmental pollutants, such as PCB and dioxine. We are pursuing all possible aspects regarding the endless possibilities that mushrooms possess. Main Patent Rights
